Do you have the urge to explore or expand your creative side but need some help
and guidance? Well now you have the chance to try your hand at a range of art
and craft styles and skills in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.
Art and Craft class run weekly in Egmanton Village Hall on Tuesdays between 9.30 and 11.30am. Tutor Amina Khan has 17 years’ experience of teaching Art & Design and has held one-person exhibitions of her work. Topics will be taught in blocks of five sessions.
The autumn term’s three five week topics will be:
* drawing from life - shading techniques, charcoals & chalks, drawing with oil pastels. * watercolours - learn techniques (wet on wet, wet on dry, stretching paper), composing watercolour paintings from still lives or photos / objects. * working with acrylics / gouache - on paper progressing to a canvas -abstract or based on earlier watercolours and drawings.
The classes will be suitable for everyone - all ages and absolute beginner through to experienced. Materials will be provided.
Classes will be limited to 15 students and will cost £7.50 per session, inclusive of materials and refreshments. Payable in blocks of 5 at enrolment.
